Mobile Innovation Moves To The Wrist

Let’s face it. The purpose of digital signage is to communicate messages to large audiences of viewers. I have been maintaining for quite some time that rapidly evolving technological innovation and changing social behaviors would dictate that the mobile phone will be the consumer messaging platform of choice — particularly personalized messages.

Today, I came across a new device innovation that I believe will further perpetuate consumer dependence on the mobile phone as the messaging and information delivery medium of choice. This device is a product from Sony Ericsson called LiveView. LiveView is an extension of Android smartphones. It’s function is to allow consumers to more easily access information without having to always reach for their smartphones. I encourage you to watch the following video. I believe LiveView could be a potential game changer. (NOTE: Sony LiveView is nothing like Symon LiveView, which is a virtual holographic display.)
